Lead, Grow, and Get Certified. Summer Fun for Girls grades 6-8 

Athena Middle School Camp is a summer camp for girls entering 6th through 8th grade, built around Safe Sitter certification alongside sports, social, and leadership skills. Through Safe Sitter, your daughter gains real childcare skills and the business basics to start babysitting on her own. She'll build real-world skills alongside strong female role models while finding her voice in a supportive, all-girl environment.

Weekly Art Themes + Sports

Safe Sitter

Our Safe Sitter Course is designed for girls grades 6-8 to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. In these courses, students learn to practice safety skills, handle emergencies, care for children, and treat illnesses or injuries. Some classes include CPR training. Additionally, students develop business skills such as screening jobs, setting wages, and working with employers.

Strong Sisters

Our youngest athletes build coordination, agility, and teamwork through playful drills and small-sided games. Coaches focus on confidence first—celebrating effort, cheering on teammates, and learning the joy of movement. Perfect for beginners or girls who just love running, passing, and scoring big smiles.

Yoga & Tennis

A balanced week of dynamic movement and mindful practice.
Tennis focuses on stroke development, footwork, and strategy while encouraging girls to challenge themselves in a supportive environment.
Yoga develops strength, flexibility, stress management, and mental clarity—helping girls build confidence beyond the court.

Self Defense & Volleyball

This empowering combination helps girls strengthen both their bodies and their confidence.
Volleyball builds communication, teamwork, serving, bumping, and setting fundamentals through upbeat drills and games. Self-Defense teaches awareness, boundary-setting, and practical skills to help girls feel prepared and self-assured in everyday situations.

Locations

San Jose 

Athena Camps' San Jose location runs at Presentation High School, serving South Bay families across San Jose, Willow Glen, Almaden, and Los Gatos. The San Jose site typically runs the most sessions of Athena's three locations, with Mini, Junior, and Middle School programs available across multiple weeks each summer.

Los Altos

Athena Camps' Los Altos location runs at Oak Avenue Elementary School, giving Midpeninsula families — Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, and Palo Alto — a walkable, all-girls summer option close to home. Girls entering kindergarten through 8th grade can choose from Mini, Junior, and Middle School sessions throughout June and July.
