What Makes Athena Camps Different?

Unlike traditional camps that focus on just one domain, Athena’s unique combination:

  • Breaks down the “either/or” mentality that often limits girls’ participation
  • Uses sports to build physical confidence and teamwork skills
  • Leverages art projects to foster creativity and self-expression
  • Connects all activities to girl-powered themes that build character and confidence

Weekly Art Themes + Sports

Connect & Communicate

Girls thrive on meaningful relationships and healthy communication. With a focus on connecting with their feelings and inner wisdom, all campers will practice communicating with each other in real and meaningful ways. In addition to self-exploration, Junior campers will not only connect with their own hearts, but they will also learn to embrace and celebrate the uniqueness of others.

Unleash Your Happiness

Summer is about playing in the sunshine and delighting in what brings us joy. Through mindfulness, focusing on one’s strengths, and the power of positive thinking we can find lasting happiness. "Unleash Your Happiness" activities will help girls discover and own their happy place by examining the things that are daily delights and relishing in personal strengths. Campers will learn to recognize, focus, and celebrate their attributes.

Love & Express Yourself

Girls often don’t know how, or are afraid to express and love themselves. Athena Camps helps give young girls the courage to articulate the qualities that they are proud of in a loving environment. The inviting space that fosters deep, interpersonal love helps reveal campers’ talents, proudly voice them, and celebrate what makes girls so extraordinary. Junior campers flourish in the warmth and peace of self-expression.

Yoga & Running

A blend of active energy and grounding focus. Girls practice mindfulness, endurance, and body awareness through yoga sequences, breathing techniques, and fun-paced running games.

Flag Football & Pickleball

Pickleball, the fastest-growing sport in the country, introduces hand-eye coordination, quick reflexes, and friendly competition while flag football teaches campers teamwork, strategy, and confidence through fun plays and high-energy drills.

Tennis & Volleyball

Girls learn fundamental racquet and court skills, serving techniques, volleys, and movement on the court. Training includes communication, positioning, and teamwork, giving campers the chance to try fun, new skills.

Soccer & Basketball

Girls build skills in passing, dribbling, shooting, strategy, and teamwork through engaging drills and spirited scrimmages. Coaches create an encouraging environment where athletes learn to support one another, stay positive, and play boldly.
