Girl-Powered Camps for Grades 6-8
Middle School Camps are for the girls who want to hang out, enjoy the outdoors, learn a new sport (or just get some exercise), enjoy creative art projects and meaningful discussions with mentors and friends. Our mission is to inspire courage and build confidence in each other through a unique combination of athletic, creative, emotional, and social activities in a nurturing community. Themes:
Inner Beauty | We want every girl to know that her beauty comes from within. This week explores the standards for "external beauty," beauty across cultures and how some beauty practices can be unhealthy. Creative activities and discussions include: mask making, expressive drawings, and DIY beauty products, guided meditations, and more.
Celebrating Friendship | Friendships are central in a girl's life. This week explores friendship from the perspective of kindness, beginning with ourselves and expanding into the world around us. Creative activities and discussions include: Analyzing song lyrics, role plays, videos and more.
Safe Sitter Certification | Each interactive, entertaining and engaging lesson teaches you and your friends the safety and business skills necessary to care for young children. You'll leave with 120-page Training Manual, a certification card, new business skills and confidence to care for young children on your own. Endorsed by the American Heart Association for the 6-hour total training over the 5-day camp.
