I have been with Athena Camps for 5 years now. I started as a coach, not knowing that one day, I would get the privilege of being a camp director. The experiences I have had with Athena Camps, has helped shape me into the person I am today. I have grown to be more confident and to be comfortable being my unique self.
I believe the themes this summer, Healthy Living, Multiply Goodness, and Strong Sisters, are important for young girls to learn. The one most important to me is Strong Sisters. Having six younger sisters, I have a unique perspective into what young girls are facing in this day and age. I believe it is important for girls to learn how to build strong, healthy relationships. And with the coaches and the interns, the campers will learn in a fun and safe environment.
I am very excited to come back this summer as the San Jose Director. I look forward to seeing all the new faces and all the familiar faces. To see the changes and the personal growth in the campers, is one of the many reasons I am proud to be a part of Athena Camps.
